We'd rather tell you than have you find out
The photograph is micro-etched inside the stone set at the centre of the heart charm. It is not printed on the surface, and this is not a locket — it does not open. You see it by putting a light behind it, which is the whole point: it sits on a keyring all day and nobody else notices it.
If any of this turns out to be wrong about the piece you receive, that is our mistake to fix, not yours to live with.

The questions we actually get
How do I actually see the photograph?
You hold a phone torch against the back of the stone and point the charm at something pale — a wall, a ceiling, the inside of your hand. The photograph appears there. In ordinary light the stone just looks like a small dark stone, which is the part most people end up liking most.
Will it survive being on a keyring?
The image is etched inside the stone rather than printed on it, so it cannot rub off, fade or wash out. The charm is metal and the ring is a standard split ring. It is made to be carried, not kept in a drawer.
Is it a locket? Does it open?
No. Nothing opens and there is no paper photograph inside. The image is in the stone itself.
What kind of photograph works best?
A clear one where the face is reasonably large in frame. Group photos work but everyone ends up small. If yours will not read well we email you before we make anything rather than sending you something disappointing.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Not for a change of mind — it has one person's photograph in it and cannot be sold to anybody else. What we do cover: if we set the wrong photograph, or it arrives damaged, we remake it free. You confirm your photograph before you pay, and that step exists to protect you.
Can I pay with a card?
Checkout runs through PayPal, and you can pay with any major card there without holding a PayPal account. Choose the guest card option on the PayPal screen.
